Dr. ’Toyin Ashiru obtained Ph.D. in Industrial Metallurgy from the University of Birmingham, UK; and B.Sc. (Honors) in Materials Science from the University of Sussex, UK. He has about 30 years experience in corrosion control, coating applications, materials engineering, and failure analysis. His professional experience which includes academia, research, and industrial consultancy spans: UK, USA, Nigeria, and Saudi Arabia. Currently, he is Senior Staff Engineer and Career Development Coordinator in SABIC Technology Center, Al-Jubail, Saudi Arabia. He is responsible for providing technical support on corrosion control and coating applications for SABIC plants. Dr. Ashiru has patents on processes and systems that he developed for the mitigation of corrosion related problems. He has published more than 100 papers in journals and conferences on corrosion related topics. He is the Secretary of NACE, Jubail Section of Saudi Arabia.

Dr Mabruk has more than 29 years experience both in upstream and downstream processes. He has produced more than 100 corrosion investigation reports and published several papers on stainless steel corrosion; He obtained both his M.Sc. and Ph.D. from the University of Manchester Corrosion Engineering Research Centre. He is a professional member of the Institute of Corrosion (UK), and one of the founders of corrosion engineering society in Libya. He has given various training courses in the fundamentals of corrosion, corrosion monitoring, and corrosion control, plant integrity and remaining life estimate, and supervised several research projects.

Dr.Antonio Martinez Niembro, Ph.D has a Chemical Engineering degree from Caracas, Venezuela and a Ph.D. in Physics-Chemistry and Corrosion from the University of Dijon, France.

He has worked as corrosion engineer in the petrochemical and oil industries since 1985 in areas related with cathodic protection in congested areas, troubleshooting and maintenance of cathodic protection systems, downhole corrosion, inhibition, internal corrosion, and more recently as integrity management of aging structures and pressure systems.

Dr. Antonio is an author of publications in the field of research of the reactivity of Solids, Inhibitors, Microbiological Corrosion and Cathodic Protection. He is also a NACE Fellow for more than 20 years.

Dr. Awajiogak Anthony Ujile was born on 10th March 1960. He obtained his B.Tech. degree Chemical/Petrochemical Engineering in 1985; M.Tech. and PhD in Chemical Engineering at the Rivers State University of Science & Technology. Nigeria.

He had worked in Oil and Gas industries as a Petroleum Engineer, Senior Corrosion Engineer, Senior Process Engineer, Area Manager in Paint/Coating manufacturing company. Presently, he lectures at the Rivers State University of Science & Technology in the Department of Chemical/Petrochemical Engineering.

His areas of specialization include: mass transfer processes, corrosion control (cathodic protection systems), environmental control systems and groundwater modeling processes. He is a professional engineer. He has registration with the following professional bodies:

Prof. A.S.Khanna is a full professor in Corrosion Science & Engineering, Department of Metallurgical Engineering and Materials Science, IIT Bombay.

He has more than 30 years experience in various aspects of corrosion, especially, High Temperature Corrosion, Surface Modifications, Paint coatings, Oil & gas corrosion and Rebar Corrosion. He has more than 200 publications, and guided 12 Ph.D's 100 Masters students, written 2 books, edited 4 conference proceedings. He is NACE Fellow and Also Fellow of ASM.

He has given more than 100 courses to Industry through NACE India Section, SSPC India or Continuing Educational Programme of IIT Bombay on Corrosion in Industries, Oil & gas Corrosion, Paint Coating Inspection & quality control, corrosion testing etc..

Orlando De Matos is a Mechanical Engineer with more than 25 years experience in the Oil and Gas Industry with over 17 years of these in the Middle East. Previously, he has rich experience of construction and maintenance in refineries in Europe. He held senior management positions during his assignments and has been actively involved in corrosion management, troubleshooting of corrosion-related issues and implementation of corrective actions. He has played an active role in the implementation of Risk Based Inspection across all GASCO sites as well as new major projects.

Under his leadership, the Inspection and Corrosion Section at GASCO-Habshan and Bab has been accreditated as an Owner User Inspection Organization, in accordance with provisions of the National Boiler Board USA, and was also certified with ISO 9001:2008.

A.A.Bukhamisn holds a BS degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of North Carolina, USA 1985. He is a NACE member since 1996 and also a CP standard committee member at Saudi Aramco. He is a holder of NACE certification in CP and is the CP engineer responsible for a vast area with the Northern Area Producing Department which maintains and operates onshore as well as offshore structures. He has authored several papers and presentations in CP designs for Above Ground Storage Tanks.

Francisco Costa is an Inspection and Corrosion Engineer with 35 years experience in the Oil and Gas Industries, including over 27 years in the Middle East.

He was seconded by PARTEX to GASCO in 1982 to work as an Inspection Engineer in Gasco Ruwais NGL Fractionation Plant and in 1992 assigned to Gasco Buhasa NGL Liquefaction Plant as Inspection Section Head. Prior to taking up the work with Partex and Gasco, he worked in two Refiners in Mozambique and Portugal. Francisco possesses a wide and solid experience in all-round Inspection and Corrosion activities, with a focus on the Plant Asset Integrity Management System.

He represents Gasco in the Inspection and Corrosion Skill Pool Expert OPCO’s Board and regularly attends, participates and presents in workshops and conferences.

Patrick Brady has always been employed in the Oil, Gas & Aero engine industries. His career started with Rolls Royce UK back in 1972, within the Inspection, Corrosion & Materials department and has never strayed from this specialist discipline. He has worked throughout Europe, the Middle East, the Far East and has spent 18 years in New Zealand. Currently Patrick is seconded to GASCO Abu Dhabi, as Head of the new Inspection, Corrosion & Materials Department. Patrick is a 23 year veteran with SHELL and is delighted to be part of the GASCO company in such a period of tremendous growth and expansion within the UAE.

Dr. Maher Alodan obtained his Ph.D. in 1996 from the University of Minnesota in the USA in Chemical Engineering. Dr. Alodan is working at Alfaisal University since 2006 as Vice President for Research and Graduate Studies, and acting Dean of Engineering. He also held position of Acting Vice President for Advancement. Dr. Alodan is heading the office of research and graduate studies to foster high quality research at Alfaisal University. Previously he held the position of Director of the Center of Excellence for Research in Engineering Materials (CEREM), at King Saud University in Riyadh, where he was an Associate Professor at the faculty of Chemical Engineering. Dr. Maher worked as a Senior Advisory Development Engineer at Seagate Technology in the USA from 1997 to 2000.

Dr. Alodan has published extensively with over 50 refereed papers, conference papers, and patents to his credit. His research interests are in the areas of electrochemical modeling of transient systems, characterization of electrochemical systems using DC and AC techniques, control and prevention of corrosion, In 2006, Dr. Alodan was awarded the King Abdulaziz Medal of First Degree given by the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz, for patent and technology achievement
